The Robi-Drishty inter-school, college and university final debate competition was held yesterday at Theatre Institute Chittagong.
Thirty schools from Chittagong, 10 colleges and 24 universities from Dhaka and Chittagong took part in this ten-day long debate competition.
Robi has been sponsoring this annual event since 2006.
Motijheel Government High School from school level, Chittagong Public College from college level and University of Dhaka from University level were crowned as the champions of Robi-Dristi Debate Competetion-2014.
Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Zabed, MP; Hon’ble State Minister for Ministry of Land was present at the closing ceremony. The state minister distributed the prizes among the winners of the competition. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Rezwan Hamid Shezan, Regional Manager, Chittagong and Nazmul Karim, Area Manager, Chittagong were also present from Robi.
Thanking Drishty for organising the debate competition Robi COO said that, “Robi is proud to be sponsoring this debate competition for nine straight years. Robi strongly believes that today’s youth holds the key for realizing the potential of the country. Robi is always working to facilitate this transformation with innovative products and services for our youth. We are very confident that through taking part in this debate competition the participants have become more equipped to lead this transformation.”
Masud Bakul, President, Dristi, Chittagong and Saif Chowdhury, Vice President, Dristi, Chittagong attended the programmme. The Robi-Drishty debate competition started on 21st August 2014.
