Robbers looted gold, cash and foreign currency from a two houses, including expatriate’s house living in UK in the Gulapganj upazila’s Nimadal area in Sylhet early Saturday.
Local and police said, a gang of armed robbers numbering 9 to 10 entred the house of UK expatriate Ziaul Islam breaking open gate and door and held the house members hostage at gunpoint. They looted 5 gold bars, four mobile sets and Taka 40,000. Later robbers entered the house of another UK expatriate Anamul Haque building and looted the valuables, including 7 gold bars, 4 mobile sets, One camera, one movie camera and Anamul Haque ATM Card. OC of Gulapganj Police Station visited the looted houses.
