A gang of robbers looted jewellary ornaments, cash money and valuables worth Tk. about 6 lakh from the houses of Shalikhapara and Sonarpara under Buroil union of Nandigram upazila in Bogra on early Monday.
Following the robbers attack on the houses’ owners protested the robbery in the houses leaving three Shahin, Akher and Jamal injured.
Police quoting the victim families’ members said that the gang 15-20 of the robbers attacked on the houses of Shahid Uddin, Shahin Ahmed, Fazlur Rahman, his brother Mofazzal Hossain, Akher Ali and Jamal Uddin equipped with lethal weapons and entered the houses breaking doors and looted cash money, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Tk 6 lakh.
The members of the victim families were tightened with ropes and tortured them for the confession about the location of the ornaments, valuables and later three members of the victim families got injured at the attack on them by the robbers, added the police.
