Robbers looted valuables from an expatriate’s house at Gandharbapur village in Jagannathpur upazila of Sunamganj district early Monday.
Abdul Quader, sub-inspector of Jagannathpur Police Station, said a gang of masked robbers, numbering 10-12, entered the house of Saudi expatriate Jhunu Miah at the village.
Later, they took the house inmates hostage at gunpoint, looted TK 55,000 cash, 11 tolas of gold and valuables worth TK 10lakh, and hurriedly fled from the scene.
