While preparing for robbery in Jashore, police arrested a robber with sharp weapons, ammunition, saw, iron rod, and a truck on Wednesday early. At this time 4 more robbers escaped.
The arrestee robber is Shamim Ahmed 25 son of Kamal Sheikh of Dingedah Khejura Bazar in Chuadanga district.
The fugitives robbers are Mohammad Faruk, 40, of Kushtia district, Biplob, 30, of Nagda village in Chuadanga district, Rakib, 35, of Mobarak Hossain Para village in Darshana upazila of the same district and Shahin, 35, of Damurhuda upazila.
Two separate cases have been registered at Jashore Kotwali police station over the incident.One is the crime of preparing a robbery and the other is the possession of illegal firearms and ammunition. SI Mizanur Rahman, in-charge of Ichali police camp, said that they received a tip-off that some robbers were preparing to rob with a truck on a paved road in front of Shahadat Hossain’s tea shop in Hashimpur Bazar.

Based on the news, a team of police raided the place on Wednesday early. The robbers, sensing the presence of police, jumped out of the truck and tried to flee.
At that moment, a robber Shamim Ahmed fell on the road while trying to escape.
At that time, the local people caught him, and beaten. He was slightly injured. The other robbers left the truck and fled.
Shamim, who was detained during interrogation, said that they were staying in Hashimpur bazar area for the robbery.
