Robber arrested with weapons in Lohagara

Police have arrested a robber named Nurul Hashem (30) Prakash Kashem in Lohagara. He was arrested on Monday in a raid at Baraitali Lal Mia’s shop in Chakriya, Cox’s Bazar. He is the son of late Shafiqur Rahman from Baishari area of Bandarban Naikhyangchhari upazila. During this time 4 LG One shooter guns and 13 rounds of ammunition, 3 mobiles and 4500 tk in cash were recovered.
At a press briefing on Monday night, Lohagara Police Station OC Jaker Hossain Mahmud said that a team of Lohagara Police Station in collaboration with Chakaria Harbang Police Outpost raided the Chakaria Baraitali area on the basis of secret information and recovered 4 weapons, 13 rounds of ammunition, 3 mobile sets and 4,500 tk in cash Kashem was arrested. During preliminary interrogation he (June 19) admitted that he was involved in the robbery organized in Kalauzan. He said he was sent to jail through a Chittagong court on Tuesday morning.
It may be mentioned that on the night of June 19, a robbery took place at the house of Saudi expatriate Abdus Shukkur in Hasan Ali Miyazan Para area of West Kalaujan of the upazila. The next day, a case was filed against 10/12 unidentified persons at Lohagara police station.
