The teachers , officials and employees of all strata of the University of science and Technology, Chittgong (USTC) seiged Zakir Hossain road in city for one hour and staged demonstration demanding salary of July and Eid festival bonus on Thursday.
The siege program enforced at 12 noon. Mentionable that deadlock situation of the university over the various demands of the teachers, officers and employees is continuing from May 18 last. All academic classes and examinations remain suspended for the last two months.
About 4500 students of different faculties including medical students fear uncertainty o the next MBBs examinations next month otherwise session jot will have to face by the medical students by deferring the next MBBS examinations after six months.
Meanwhile the agitating teachers, officials and employees of all status of University of Science and Technology, Chitagong confined the Secretary of Trusty Board Dr. Nina Islam, Vice Chancellor Dr. Rezaul Karim , Pro-VC Nurul Absar and Controller Prof. Shamsudoha demanding their salary of last month and eid festival bonus on Tuesday.
These officials were under confinement for about 3 hours from 11 am. University sources said Secretary of the Trusty Board Dr. Nina Islam alongwith officer top management officials went to campus on Tuesday to attend the leaders of BMA to resolve the ongoing movement of the students, teachers and officials of USTC.
