Though the repairing of the roads have started about five months ago, the work is now being stopped for unknown reasons. The DNCC authorities have admitted their failure and said they would take step to repair the rundown roads in the city, particularly the most sensitive diplomatic zone, as early as possible.
Sources said like Gulshan-Baridhara, roads in other city areas such as Mirpur, Shyamoli, Jatrabari, Mohammadpur, Badda and Mowchak are also in dilapidated condition. Though the officials and contractors of both Dhaka City Corporations started repairing of in many city roads a long time ago, the development is now being kept stopped.
