A youth was killed and another injured in a road accident in Kalushah Mazar area on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway under Sitakunda upazila of the district on yesterday morning. The victim was identified as motorcyclist Sourov Hossain, 32, son of Mujibur Rahman, hailed from Jurain area in Dhaka.
Police said the accident occurred when a local tempo hit their motorcycle from behind in the area at about 9 am, leaving the motorcycle rider Sourov dead on the spot. Another Motorcyclist Sohel Mia received injuries and he was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), hospital sources said.
