A passenger and the puller of an engine van was killed and three others were wounded in a road crash at Satighata on Rajarhat- Chuknagar Road under Jessore sadar upazila on Thursday morning.
The dead were identified as Azuzur Rahman, van-puller and passenger Rabiul Islam, all of Brahmandanga under Monirampur upazila. The wounded Mahbubur Rahman, Shohag and Bazlur Rahman were rushed to Jessore Generla Hospital with critical wounds.
Ilias Hossain, officer in-charge, Kotwali police station told newsmen that the accident took place as Satkhira bound passengers bus ran over the engine van killing the two and wounding others in the morning.
