Two children were killed in separate road accidents in Chittagong’s Patia and Hathazari upazila early in the yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Zahedul Islam Zidan (11) and Mohammad Ziku (15) Police and eyewitness said, Zidan was run over by a rushing on microbus while he was crossing the road at Chittagong-Patia raod.
Zidan, son of Didarul Islam haled from Dhalagat village and was a student of class two of Holy Child School. Zidan was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital but the on duty doctor found him dead.
In another road mishap at Hathazari, Md Ziku, 15-year-child caught spot death in a head to head collision between a truck and CNG run auto rickshaw. Ziku’s father Md Hashem (45) wounded seriously and now under incentive care at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
Pankaj Barua, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of CMC police camp told this correspondent two-Zidan and Ziku was killed in separate accidents. The duo was rushed to CMCH but the doctor discovered them already dead.
