A caver van dashed a boy from behind at C & B ghat area under Kurigram Sadar Upazila at around 5 pm on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Rakib (13)son of Johurul Islam of village Saodagarpara in the upazila.
Locals and eyewitnesses said, the accident took place in the area as a Kurigram bound caver van from Nageswari upazila dashed the boy at 5pm causing the ill fated boy was killed on the spot. The another injured Rohan(11)was rushed to Kurigram Sadar Hospital but while his condition was deteriorated the doctors referred him to Rangpur Medical College Hospital in a critical condition. Residential Medical Officer (RMO) of Kurigram sadar Hospital Dr. Shipon Sardar admitted the incident.
