Twenty-two bus passengers were injured in a road accident at Bajitpur beside the Phulbari-Dinajpur Highway in Dinajpur district on Wednesday morning. Of the injured, Maznu Mia (56) and Babul Sheikh (50) were admitted to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition. The rest were given primary treatment.
Eye-witnesses said that the accident took place when a Dinajpur bound passenger bus hit the railing of a under-construction bridge and fell into the ditch.
