Road communication of Bandarban hill district with the rest of the country has been restored yesterday after eight days of disruption due to flood.
Flood situation in the district improved substantially as incessant rainfall and water level of the Sangu River receded during the last two days.
However, flood water still flowing over the Bandarban-Chittagong road at Keranihat point.
Subroto Das Juntu, General Secretary of Bandarban Bus Owner Association told BSS that the bus service from the district resumed yesterday morning.
Road communication of the hill district with other parts of the country cam to halt last week as a portion of the connecting road at Satkania was submerged and went underwater chest-level water, disrupting vehicular movement except rickshaw van.
