Atleast one hundred workers of Glory Garments at Bazid area under Baizid thana in city staged demonstration through road blockade demanding t heir salary, bonus , arrear overtime and rights of Friday holiday on Thursday.
The workers siege the Baizid -Oxygen raod and took position in the road . After assurance of paying their demands by the owners side, the workers suspend their demonstration and siegeprogram, sources said.
Officer incharge of Baizid thana Pradip Kumar Das told that the workers staged demonstration over their legitimate demands of salary and bonus etc. After mutually agreed between the garments owner and the workers, the siege program was withdrawn and the situation now normal there.
