Xinhua, New Delhi :
At least five persons were killed and eight others injured in north India on Monday when two buses collided with each other, confirmed the local police.
The road mishap occurred early in the morning on a national highway near Ambala town in Haryana state, when one bus hit another from behind. Both the buses were privately owned.
While four passengers died in the bus which was hit, one person died in another bus which hit the former at a high speed. Both the buses were going towards Delhi, said a local police officer.
The injured passengers were rushed to a nearby hospital.
