Readymade garment (RMG) workers have withdrawn their blockade in Tejgaon industrial area after three hours protesting against the termination of workers unreasonably in city’s Nasa Garments factory on Thursday noon.
Earlier in the day, several hundred workers of the factory, situated at Begunbari, blocked the road at 10:00am in demand of the reinstatement of 66 workers, which created untold sufferings to

 the city dwellers, said Ali Hosen Khan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tejgaon Industrial Police Station.
Anisur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police confirmed the news to media that a group of RMG workers blocked the streets on false information and illogical demand.
Later, police charged batons on the workers, who blocked Satrasta intersection in the Tejgaon Industrial area for around three hours, disrupting traffic movement in the area, the DC added.
