At least three persons were injured in a clash between garment workers and employees of Bangladesh Garments Manufacturing Export Association (BGMEA) in Karwan Bazar on Wednesday.
About 300 garment workers of Mirpur’s Ashiana factory gathered in front of the BGMEA Bhaban and vandalised a car there demanding their arrears, eye witnesses said.
They also vandalised several machines and
furniture and window panes of the building throwing brick chunks around 12:30pm.
The clash took place when BGMEA employees tried to stop the demonstrators, leaving two BGMEA employees and a RMG worker injured.
