A garment worker was strangulated to death allegedly by her husband at Section-7 of Mirpur in the city early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Taslima, 32, wife of Nur-E-Alam. She used to live in a rented house at Section-7 in Mirpur. Officer-in-charge of Pallabi Police Station Dadan Fakir said neighbours informed police as they didn’t get any response from Taslima
despite repeated calls in the morning.
Later, police came in and recovered the body breaking open the door around 10 am, the OC added.
Nur might have killed his wife over conjugal dispute and fled the house, he said.
