The owners of the RMG factories in the port city are in utter anxieties following the closures of the garments factories one by one following workers unrest recently.
Fearing the workers unrest for payment of salary and allowances to the workers for sudden shutdown of the factories, the RMG owners are seeking govt patronization to resolve the problems.
Meanwhile , seven RMG units have been closed in last week on the basis of the inspection report of Arcade & Alliance- a inspection team of EU and US buyers
Flowing the closure of these seven factories about 3000 workers became jobless. The RMG owners are also fearing to shut more factories in the port over the inspection of the foreign buyers inspection reports feared in near future. RMG owners sources said unless the govt patronization is not given, the commissioning of the closed factories not possible further. As a result the RMG owners are in utter anxieties over the operations of the RMG units, sources said.
