From Feni to Laksam Level Crossing Gate and the surrounding area, the Real Estate Department has recovered 0.87 acres of Railway land. Also, 110 illegal structures were evicted and 405 illegal occupants were evicted. The operation was conducted on Sunday.
Sujan Chowdhury, Chief Estate Officer of Railway Eastern Zone, told the media that for a long time, some squatters had been living in paved, semi-paved and tin sheds on the railway site. Zero and 87 acres of land has been recovered by evicting them.
