BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has cleared his medical bill after the Apollo Hospitals Dhaka lodged a police complaint that he had slipped out of the hospital at night.Duty manager of the hospital Mafizul Islam, however, refused to reveal the figure on Wednesday. “One of his representatives came around 1:30pm and paid the bill. Now we have nothing pending with him,” he said.Hours before Rizvi’s bill was paid, the hospital authorities filed a general diary saying that the BNP leader left the hospital in the early hours without any notice.Later, Rizvi told reporters in a house at Gulshan that the blockade called by party chief Khaleda Zia will continue. He went into hiding afterwards.The BNP leader was ‘picked up’ from party headquarters at Naya Paltan by detective police four days ago and taken to the hospital. Police also locked up the offices. Khaleda has also been confined to her Gulshan office since then.
