The water level in the rivers surrounding Dhaka city may rise in next 24 hours, experts warned.
The Buriganga, the Balu, and the Shitalakkhaya in Narayanganj showed rising rend. It will continue during next 24 hours, said the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC).
The water level in the Buriganga is flowing 107 centimeter below the danger level, the Bali 51 CM below the danger level, the Shitalakkhya eight CM below the danger level and the Tongi canal 62 CM below the danger level, said Sajjad Hossain, Executive Engineer.
The satellite picture of the FFWC shows that the water level is above the danger level at Demra, Rekabibazar, Aricha, Goalando and Bhairab Bazar.
