Some works, some plays, some eats, some laze arounds, some sleeps in the car at night and yet some others do all the above. Yes, that’s what our very own Bengali celebrities do during the festive season. But what about pandal-hopping? Is it possible for Tollywood stars to visit pandals like their fans and followers? Is getting mobbed in between feels uncomfortable? Do they miss their pandal-hopping days? Rituparna Sengupta surely does.
“I do miss the whole fun of doing that without being mobbed! Things are different now, of course. I have my work and apart from that, I have to divide my time between Singapore and India, since my family is there. Otherwise, when everyone is here, we go to my mother’s place, or visit friends’ houses where they have puja. My husband organises a musical evening, so our friends come over. It’s all about friends and family during the Pujas,” said the seasoned actress while sharing her Durga Puja memories.
On the work front, up next for Rituparna is Indrasis Acharya’s thriller Parcel which also stars Saswata Chatterjee, Sreela Majumder, Ambarish Bhattacharya and Daminee Basu among others.
