Rituparna Sengupta will be seen in not one, but two Bangladeshi films at the same time.
The mahurat for Noyeem Imtiaz Neamul’s Gungchil was held recently in Bangladesh. In the film, Rituparna will be pairing up with her co-star of many films, Ferdous.
Incidentally, Ferdous was supposed to act opposite her in Nirmal Chakraborty’s Dutta, but had to opt out because of visa issues. He has now been replaced with Shaheb Chatterjee, but the actor, who is a dear friend of Rituparna, sent his best wishes to the team.
About Gungchil, Rituparna said, “The film is based on a novel by Bangladesh’s Minister, Obaidul Quader. It happens to be an extremely prestigious project. Shoot will be held in Cumilla, Noakhali and other places of historic importance. I am truly looking forward to it.”
