Tournament’s 4th seed Rishabh Sharda of India and Chan Woo Park of South Korea reached the boys singles final of the Walton 30th Bangladesh ITF Junior Tennis Championship eliminating their rivals at the Ramna National Tennis Complex on Friday.
In the event’s semifinals, Rishabh Sharda eliminated his compatriot and tournament’s 2nd seed Mritunjay Badola by 7-6, 6-3 games while Chan Woo Park defeated another India player Sacchitt Sharma by 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 games.
In the girls’ singles, Tanisha Kashyap of India and Jingyi Wang of China advanced to the final.
Tanisha Kashyap beat her country-mate Muskan Gupta by 6-2, 6-4 games while Jingyi Wang eliminated her compatriot Xiaowei Hu by 6-2, 6-1 games.
In the boys’ doubles semifinals, Korean pair Daehan Kim and Jonghun Lee beat Rohit Krishna Aynampudi of India and Nikit Reddy of USA by 7-6. 6-3 games while Indian pair Gunjan Jadhav and Sacchitt Sharrma defeated another Korean pair Ki Bum Kim and Chan Woo Park by 7-6, 6-4 games to advance to the final.
