Late film actress Tina Khan acted in the title role of Aktaruzzaman directed a movie Princess Tina Khan in 1984. Acting in that movie Tina Khan received the National Film Award in 1985.
Later Tina acted in several movies titled Rojonigondha, Mou Chor, Ayna Bibir Pala, Lagam, Dui Jibon, Er-e Naam Prem, Ekai Eksho, etc.
But Tina Khan was killed in a ferry accident at Nagarbari on the way to Dhaka in 1989. She was returning from Bogra. In that accident, noted filmmaker Alamgir Kabir was also killed. That Tina Khan’s capable daughter is promising actress Rimu Khondoker Roza. Everybody knows her as Rimu.
Besides acting in TV plays, Rimu is also acting in the big screen. When Tina Khan was died Rimu was only three and half years old. After death of her mother Rimu was brought up at Bharateswari Homes. Now Rimu is a full-fledged actress.
Rimu started her acting career by a play titled Prithibir Shob Rup Mekhey Achhey Ghas-e, directed by Ferdous Hasan Rana. Then to till now Rimu has acted in many plays.
Right now Rimu is busy with acting in drama serials Agun Khela, Joiboti Koinnyar Mon, Mushkil Ashan Zahid Hasan, Polashpur-er Nolok, Bhoirob, etc.
Earlier, Rimu had experience acting in noted litterateur Emdadul Haque Milon’s a faction play. But for the first time, she is acting his written drama serial titled Polashpur-er Nolok.
Rimu got the opportunity to act in late Humayun Ahmed’s two plays – Nuruddin Swarnopadak and Natyamongal-er Kotha Shuney Punnyoban.
It may be mentioned that Rimu first acted in a movie titled Guru Bhai. Later she acted in several movies including Zakir Hossain Raju directed two movies-Bhalobashley Ghor Badha Jaina and Poramon and Tanvir Mokammel’s Jibon Dhuli.
Rimu acted two movies are waiting to release now. These are: Shahadat Hossain Liton’s Love Express and Noim Imtiaz Neyamul’s Ek Cup Cha, Rimu said.
