Readers can easily recall the name of film actress Tine Khan. Her full name was Firoza Khandaker Tina. She played the title role in Akhtaruzzaman directed movie Princess Tina Khan. Therefore, she also acted in other movies like Mou Chor, Rajanigondha, Bimanbala, Ayna Bibir Pala, Modhumaloti, Ali Asma, Dhormo Aamar Maa, Somoy Kotha Boley, etc. She was killed in a road mishap left her daughter baby Rimu on January 20 in 1989. That little Rimu is now today’s popular actress Rimu Roja Khandaker.
Rimu feels proud to be introduced herself with the identity of her mother. Now she is regular in acting in both small and big screens. She is also regular in TV serials now. On the occasion of coming Pahela Boishakh, Rimu acted and Sagor Jahan directed play Rupali Ilisher Golpo will be aired on Rtv.
Therefore, on the occasion of coming Eid she has also finished shooting of Mishuk directed Rongin Khamey Dhulo Bhora Smriti, Sagor Jahan’s seven-episode serial Nosu Villain and Mahin-er Laal Diary. Last Friday Rimu acted movie Polokey Polokey Tomakei Chai was released where she acted in role of Misha Sawdagor’s wife.
Meanwhile, either April 20 or 27 Rimu acted and Arun Chowdhury directed movie Altabanu will be released. Rimu acted another movie Dhaka Attack was one of the mentionable movies of 2017.
While talking about her acting career Rimu told this correspondent, “My love and affection with acting only. Acting is my all. I want to continue acting till my death. I want to establish myself as a full-fledged actress. The persons who took me as cast in their works I am grateful to them. I am really felt proud to introduce myself as daughter of Tina Khan.”
Now Rimu is acting in Maruf Mithu’s serial on ATN Bangla Volume ta Koman, Shahjada Mamun’s Shukno Patar Nupur (on Channel i) and on SA TV Ahsanul Hasan’s Tumi Achho Tai. However, Rimu acted new serial D20 directed by Sagor Jahan is waiting to telecast soon.
It is noted that Rimu acted first movie was AQ Khokon’s Guru Bhai and her acted first TV play was Ferdous Hasan’s Prithibir Sob Rup Mishey Achhey Ghasey.
