Rimu Roja Khandaker is daughter of late film actress Tina Khan. As her mother was a film actress so Rimu has established herself as an actress. From December 26, Rimu is going to start shooting of a new film titled Moina, which will be directed by Arun Chowdhury. Rimu will play in role of a prostitute named Sundori.
While talking about to work in this movie Rimu told this correspondent, “Earlier, under Arundada’s direction I worked in his movie Altabanu. Viewers enjoyed my acting in that movie. For this reason, Dada gave me the opportunity to work in next movie. I am grateful to him. I strongly believe I will portray my role in Moina properly.”
Rimu acted first movie was AQ Khokon’s Guru Bhai. Later, she acted in movies Britter Bairey, Bhalobashley Ghor Badha Jaina, King Khan, Jibon Dhuli, Love Express, among others. In the meantime, Rimu has already finished shooting of a web series.
Rimu acted serials Tumi Achho Tai, directed by Ahsanul Hasan, and D20, directed by Sagor Jahan, are being aired on SA TV and RTV respectively now.
It is noted that on January 20, 1989, Rimu’s mother Firoza Khandaker Tina was killed in ferry mishap at Nagarbari Ferryghat while returning to Dhaka after shooting spot from Syed Salauddin Zaki’s movie Ayna Bibir Pala. During that time Rimu was only four and half years old. Rimu acted first TV play was Ferdous Hasan’s Prithibir Sob Rup Mishey Achhey Ghas-ey. It was a drama serial. Her first acted faction play was Insan Emon’s Psycho.
