After the construction work of the new building of Sadar Union Parishad No. 9 under Kapasia Upazila of Gazipur, the aesthetic and visually pleasing building has been officially inaugurated. Bangataj Kanya Simeen Hussain Rimi MP, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Culture, cut the ribbon and inaugurated the event on Monday noon. The two-storey building has been constructed at a cost of Taka 1 crore 71 lakh with the funding of the Local Government Engineering Department.
Gazipur Deputy Commissioner SM Tariqul Islam was present as the special guest in the presidency of Sadar Union Parishad Chairman No. 9 and Upazila Juba League President Sakhawat Hossain Pradhan. Former MP Bir Muktijoddha Alhaj Muhammad Shahidullah, Upazila Parishad Chairman Advocate Md. Amanat Hossain Khan, Prob. Mizanur Rahman Pradhan, general secretary of Upazila Awami League, Asaduzzaman Asad, vice chairman of Upazila Parishad, Mahbub Uddin Ahmed Selim, joint general secretary of Upazila Awami League, Abdul Halim Khokon, president of Union Awami League and others.
