The government has taken extensive preparations to observe International Right to Information Day 2016 in the country on September 28.
The Information Commission will organize the main programme of the day under the supervision of information ministry.
President M. Abdul Hamid will attend the main function as the chief guest at Osmany Memorial Auditorium in the city at noon, said an official release.
The programme will include a cultural function highlighting the issue of right to information.
Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar will air the programme live.
