New it is the last time boro harvesting paddy and rice collection. The Naogaon Sadar LSD food warehouse has agreed to procure 60 per cent rice and 30 per cent paddy. The remaining warehouses in the district have so far managed to collect 40 to 42 per cent rice. The information obtained is published in the relevant district food department
It is learned that during the current boro season, the target for procurement of cooked rice in the district was set at 49,260 metric tonnes,rice , 32340 metric tonnes.paddy.
Of this season , 16798 metric tons of rice and 3 thousand metric tons of paddy were stored in Naogaon Sadar food warehouse. So far 10,725 metric tons of rice has been collected and 1030 metric tons of paddy has been collected.
