In 2001, a documentary titled Agnibalaka was made to describe the heroic experiences and life stories of Bir Shrestho Matiur Rahman in the Liberation War of 1971.
Abdullah Rana made the documentary under the coordination of Squadron Leader Mahmood Iqbal (Retd). In that documentary, for the first time popular film actor Riaz and popular TV actress Tarin performed together as a pair.
Riaz played the role of Matiur Rahman and Tarin enacted the role of Mili Rahman, wife of Matiur Rahman in that telefilm.
After then, they worked together in Mohan Khan’s Hridoypurer Galpo and Raihan Khan’s Sukher Asukh.
After appearing together in a telefilm for the first time six years ago, popular actors Riaz and Tarin have paired up once again in another new telefilm for the fourth time.
The duo will be seen playing as a couple in an Eid special telefilm titled Tel, scripted by Ashraful Chanchal and directed by Abu Raihan Jewel.
The shooting of the telefilm was wrapped up recently at a shooting house in the city’s Genderia area.
In the story of Tel, Ali Hossain, a clerk in an office, always fails to meet even very small but necessary demands of his wife and children as he lives an insolvent life.
Considering his undone condition, he tries to manage his wife in every step of life; but eventually he faces a much more difficult reality one day!
The story of the telefilm goes forward from this point.
While talking about the Eid telefilm Riaz told this correspondent, “In the passage of time, I have worked in many telefilms, but a very few could stay in the mind. I think this telefilm has such a wonderful story that touches my heart. It is really great to work with Tarin again after six years and I believe the audience will like the telefilm.”
Tarin shared the experience of the work, “I have worked under the direction of Abu Raihan earlier, who always tries to convey a message to the audience through his work. With due sincerity, we have taken part in the shooting at an old house in the city’s old part of Dhaka, and I am playing as Rebeka. I felt wonderful to work with Riaz again, who is always a very cooperative actor.”
The telefilm Tel will be telecasted on a satellite TV channel during the coming Eid-ul-Fitr, Tarin said.
