Rezaul urges Bangabandhu followers to remain united

Fisheries and Livestock Minister S M Rezaul Karim urged the people who believe in the ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to remain united.
“We have to remain united, firm in our commitment. We have to remember one thing – Bangabandhu was killed along with most of his family members, not just to grab power, but to destroy Bangladesh along with the spirit of the Liberation War. That conspiracy is still going on,” he said.
The minister said these on Friday while addressing a remembrance meeting commemorating Awami League Presidium members and former ministers Mohammad Nasim and Sahara Khatun, at the Jatiya Press Club here, an official press release said.
Organized by social and cultural organization Janatar Pratyasa, the meeting was presided over by its president MA Karim. Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, Dhaka South City Unit Awami League president Abu Ahmed Mannafi addressed the function as special guests.
The minister called upon all to move forward under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, saying, “She is our only hope in any adverse situation and if she did not come back (home) in 1981, the expectations of three million martyrs would have gone in vain.
