Bangladesh Pilgrims and Hajj Welfare Council President Advocate Dr. Abdullah-Al Naser has urged the Religious Affairs Ministry to return an ammount of Tk 3,062 each to the concerned hajj agencies immediately which was cut by the Sonali Bank, said a press release.
Earlier, a total of 1,19,509 hajj pilgrims deposited Tk 23,413 per head as Muallem fee at the time of completing pre-registration.
But on the 6th July being ordered by the Religious Affairs Ministry, the local office of the bank returned Tk 20,351 retaining Tk 3062 through Pay Order, which was against the National Hajj and Umra Policy-2017. Dr Naser urged the government to pay the full amount deposited by the hajj pilgrims.
