District Administration mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Md OmarFaruk fined two restaurants of the port city for selling adulterated and date expired foods this afternoon. The convicted restaurants are- Bir Bangalee Restora & Birani House of Chowmuhani area and Ayozan Restora and Birani House of Badamtali crossing in the city.
District administration sources said Bir Bangalee Restora and Ayozan Restora have been penalised with Tk15,000 and Tk10000 respectively for selling the adulterated and time expired foods and the allegations undoubtedly proved after conducting anti-adulteration drive. Executive Magistrate told journalists, following the directives of the Deputy commissioner, the anti-adulteration campaign will be continued in the city until further orders.
Among others, Executive magistrate Ashiqur Rahman and the police members of CMP participated the mobile court drive.
