Resounding victory for Khulna Tigers in BBBL

Khulna Tigers posted a resounding eight-wicket victory over Chattogram Challengers in their Twenty20 cricket match of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL) at the flood-lit Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Thursday.
Sent into bat first, Chattogram Challengers scored 144 for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, Khulna Tigers romped home making 146 for the loss of two wickets when they had 37 balls to spare.
One-down Rilee Rossouw of Khulna Tigers remained unbeaten with 64. His 38-ball stormy innings was belted with seven fours and two sixes.
Opener Rahmanullah Gurbazz hit a superb 50. His 19-ball hurricane innings saw five sixes and four fours.
Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim remained unbeaten with 28. He hit four fours in his 22-ball innings.
Nasum Ahmed and Muktar Ali of Chattogram Challengers got one wicket each conceding 18 and 20 runs respectively.
Earlier, Muktar Ali of Chattogram Challengers remained unbeaten with 29. His 14-ball innings was ornamented with four sixes.
Opener Lendl Simmons made 26 from 23 balls featuring two fours and two sixes.
Besides, Nasir Hossain scored 24 using 27 deliveries.
Robbie Frylink, Aminul Islam, Shafiul Islam and Shahidul Islam of Khulna Tigers took one wicket each for 21, 25, 30 and 32 runs respectively.
