A day ‘Research Fair’ has been organized by the East West University Center for Research and Training (EWUCRT) at East West University (EWU) at Aftabnagar in the city on Thursday. There were 16 Universities, Research Organigations, and Some Industries of the country have participated in the ‘Research Fair’.
The inaugural session of the ‘Research Fair’ was attended by among others; Prof Dr Kazi Shahidullah, Chairman, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Syed Manzur Elahi, Chairperson, Board of Trustees of EWU, and a former adviser to the caretaker government, Prof Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser, EWU and a former governor of Bangladesh Bank, Prof Dr MM Shahidul Hassan, Vice Chancellor, EWU, and Dr Rafiqul Huda Chaudhury, Chairperson, (EWUCRT).
On the occasion, speakers highlighted the essentiality of quality research for the advancement of developing countries like Bangladesh. Researchers, Industrial Personnel, Teachers, and Students from different institutions participated in the program. The objective of the ‘Research Fair’ is to showcase the best practices of research and development being carried out in Bangladeshi organizations and educational institutions, with the hope to create a bridge between academia and industry to foster research and innovation for the betterment of our country.
