A Dhaka court yesterday deferred the submission of the report in the case filed with Kotwali Police Station of the city over rape of a Dhaka University student to November 25.
Magistrate Elias Mia of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order on Wednesday, as the Investigation Officer of the case could not submit the report yesterday.
Earlier, on October 12, two of the accused- Saiful Islam and Md Nazmul Huda were placed on a two-day remand each after detectives arrested them in the case lodged on charge of rape.
Saiful Islam is the Joint Convener of Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Odhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad while Nazmul Huda is a Vice-President of the front. The case was filed on September 22.
The victim filed another case against Saiful, Nazmul, former DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur, Hasan Al Mamun, suspended convener of Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Odhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad, Nazmul Hasan Sohag, Joint Convener of the front and DU student Abdullah Hil Baki with Lalbagh Police Station.
She filed the case under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.
