Jessore district unit National Democratic Front (NDF) demanded removal of all the dams, culverts, bridges and other barriers for the sake of free flow of river water from Bhabadah water stagnated Abhaynagar, Monirampur, Keshabpur and a portion of Jessore sadar upazila.
The demands came from a demonstration of the left leaning party in Jessore town on Sunday.
The party brought out a procession and rally in Jessore town to press home its demands.
