Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said that the position of Bangladesh inflow of world remittances and Bangladesh is expected to mark 25.39 billion dollars remittance inflow by 2020.
The Minister made the assertion while addressing a programme titled `Safeguarding interested of Bangladesh migrant workers issue of financial influence and social protection` at capital`s Gulshan on Wednesday.
He said that migrant workers always play an important role in earning foreign currency and that’s why the remittance inflow is increasing every year.
Mustafa Kamal also said that because of poor skill in English language the migrant workers earn lower than other country workers which is a great problem.
We have to take remarkable steps to in this regard, he added.
Minister for Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Nurul Islam, State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan, World Bank`s Dhaka office Chief Economist Zahid Hossain and others attended in the programme.
