The civil society and the socio-cultural organisations of the port city demanded construction of a full-fledged cultural complex at DC Hill by relocating the official residences of the Deputy Commissioner and the Divisional Commissioner of Chittagong. Combined Cultural Forum of Chittagong expressed this views at a view exchanging meeting held at Theatre Institute Hall on Tuesday last.
Noted social scientist and the vice chancellor of Premiur University Dr. Anupam Sen presided over the view exchanging meeting.
Dr. Anupam Sen in his brief deliverations said for the last 4 decades , DC Hill park is being used as a cultural spot of the city where a permanent dais is also built in the meantime and the DC Hill is well known to all people of the greater chitttagong as a cultural spot and this cultural spot cant not be changed with anycost. He said if necessary , the residences of the Deputy commissioner and the divisional commissioner may be relocated in other better places.
