Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), an anti-graft body, on Sunday alleged that the government relief fund for flood-affected people had been used for ministers’ visits to different affected areas this year.
The Executive Director of TIB, Dr Iftekharuzzaman, said that they found instances of irregularities and corruption in relief distribution during the recent floods.
The TIB revealed its research findings on an observation of ‘Transparency in combating, preparation and relief distribution in floods- 2019’ at its headquarters-Midas Centre on Sunday.
