Relay team place floral wreath to portrait of Bangabandhu

The visiting Queen’s Baton Relay team on Wednesday visited Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman memorial trust museum as part of their three-day visit in Bangladesh ahead of 21st Commonwealth Games scheduled to be held next year in Australia, said a BOA press release.
The touring Relay team placed floral wreath at portrait of Bangabandhu and paid a deep homage at present of students of Adamjee Cantonment Public School and Shaheed Bir Uttam Lieutenant Anwar Girls College.
Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Secretary General Syed Shahed Reza, BOA vice president Sheikh Bashir Ahmed and BOA Deputy Secretary General Nojib Ahmed, were among others, also present at the time.
Later the Relay team handed over the special commemorative flag of the Games to the Adamjee Cantonment College principal Lieutenant Colonel Masud Rana in presence of the students of the Adamjee Cantonment Public School and Shaheed Bir Uttam Lieutenant Anwar Girls College at south plaza of National Parliament Bhaban and took part in a photo session.
The Queen’s Baton Relay team will leave for Sri Lanka today (Thursday). The tour group, which started their journey on March 13 from Buckingham Palace taking the secret message of 2nd Queen Elizabeth for goodwill to the people of the Commonwealth in the Baton, will reach in Australia on December 24.
