A three- day long REHAB Fair was formally inaugurated at Hotel Radisson Blue in Chittagong yesterday afternoon . Chairman of Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) inaugurated the Fair by cutting tape as Chief Guest.
REHAB officials in their deliverations asked govt to float fund for Tk.20 thousand crores for Housing sector to bring dynamism in the real estate development in the country.
Chairman of Chittagong Regional Committee and Vice President of REHAB Abdul Khaiyum chowdhury were also present in it. The membrs of the REHAB asked the CDA to deal with the developer companies cordially so as to get clearnace of construction at a minimum time . The chief guest also requested the REHAB authority to enlist all developers as their member and without membership certificate building plans will face different complications. On February 6 last, a press conference was held at chittagong club in connection of the fair.
A written statement in the press meet was told that to mitigate the accommodation problems of the mid and low income people, govt should float house loan with 5% interest and easy installment facilities.
