Minister for Housing and Public Works Engr. Mosharaf Hossain said real estate development business is run after paying 14% tax and side by side VAT to be paid over purchase of cement, MS road , tiles and other building materials.
Engr. Mosharaf Hossain disclosed it while addressing the opening ceremony of 4-day long REHAB Fair-2017 at Hotel Radison Blu in the port city yesterday morning as Chief Guest.
The chief guest in his brief deliberations said REHAB has enough contribution in private sector of housing aimed at fulfilling the desire of the govt to accommodate people through building multistoried building.
He sid govt is utmostly trying to build planned residential areas in every upazila level with the cooperation of the private sector. The Minister in his speech accuses the NBR and ACC for their queries about the sources of funds for running the business and purchase of apartment flats.
