BSS, Dhaka :
Experts on Monday put emphasis on establishing a regulatory frame for coordination among the laboratories which are working to fix standard and control of the quality of food.
They said standardization and controlling the quality of food is a vast work towards ensuring the food security in the country, that’s why the laboratories both in the public and private sectors should work jointly.
Their recommendations came at the meeting of Bangladesh Food Safety Laboratory Network held at the Industries Ministry, jointly organized by Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
Member of Bangladesh Safe Food Authority (BFSA) Mazeda Begum, FAO representative Sridhar Dharma Puri and Hasan Ahmed, among others, spoke on the occasion.
