The 49th convocation of Dhaka University (DU) will be held on January 13, 2015. All those eligible Undergraduate, Post-Graduate, M.Phil and PhD students of the university were asked to apply between November 03 and November 11, 2014 to get original certificates at the convocation.
Registration fee is Tk. 1,500/- for Bachelor graduates, Tk. 2,500/- for Masters graduates, Tk. 3,000/- for MBBS, BDS, M.Phil and PhD graduates, Tk. 4,000/- for Evening Masters graduates.
Graduates have to submit the registration fees to the convocation section of Agrani Bank, Dhaka University Branch; Janata Bank, Dhaka University Branch; Sonali Bank, Dhaka University Branch on or before November 12, 2014 and collect Invitation Card & Academic Costume between January 11 and January 12, 2015.
The decision came from a meeting over the convocation program in DU Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on October 26, 2014.
In the meeting, they formed an executive committee, a management committee and 25 sub-committees to observe the program efficiently.
DU VC Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique presided over the meeting where Pro-VC (Education) Professor Dr. Nasreen Ahmad, Pro-VC (Administration) Professor Dr. Shahid Akhtar Hossain, Treasurer Professor Dr. Kamal Uddin and among others were present in the meeting.
Professor Francis Gurry, Director General of The World Intellectual Property Organization) (WIPO), will deliver his speech as the Convocation Speaker where he will be honored with Doctor of Law.
President Abdul Hamid, also the honorable Chancellor of the university will preside over the convocation.
