A three-day regional seminar on ‘Chemical Safety and Security Management’ began in the city on Tuesday.
Bangladesh National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention (BNACWC) arranged the seminar at Antora Hall, Radisson Blu, Water Garden, said an ISPR release.
Ahmet Uzumcu, Director General of Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) inaugurated the Seminar.
Lt. Gen. Md Mahfuzur Rahman, Chairman, Bangladesh National Authority for BNACWC gave welcome address. Additional foreign secretary Kamrul Ahsan gave vote of thanks.
A total of 40 participants, 20 from SAARC and ASEAN countries, and 20 from local organizations and industries attended it.
