Under the Peace, Harmony and Development Project, shoe and lungi factories have been set up in Sindukchhari and Laxmichhari under the initiative of Guimara Region and Vidyananda Foundation of the Bangladesh Army for socio-economic development through employment of local unemployed. The shoe factory will be managed by Sindhukchhari Army Zone and the lungi factory will be managed by Laxmichari Army Zone.
Commander of Guimara Region Brigadier General Md. Moazzem Hossain, NDC, AFWC, PSC, G, inaugurated the two factories as the chief guest.
Lt. Col. Dewan Manjurul Haque, PSC, Zone Commander, Sindukchhari during the inauguration of the shoe factory And Laxmichhari Zone Commander Lt. Col. Md. Rasheduzzaman Rashed, PSC, G was present at the inauguration ceremony of Lungi Factory in Laxmichhari on Monday.
